Technology infrastructure to bring retail banking to blockchain.
Deployed inside each institution by our senior engineering team, alongside yours, and adapted to its architecture, its regulation and its operating model.
The bank keeps the client, the brand, the data, the keys and control.
The financial system is already moving on-chain.
On-chain investment is no longer a crypto-sector experiment. It is driven by the main exchanges, central banks and regulators.
| Date | Milestone | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| March 2026 | Nasdaq | The SEC approves trading in tokenised securities: Russell 1000 stocks and the main ETFs, with the same rights as the traditional security. |
| July 2026 | MiCA | Fully applicable in the European Union: a single framework for all twenty-seven countries. |
| September 2026 | Pontes | The ECB launches settlement of tokenised transactions in central bank money. |
| Today | Eight of the twenty | Largest banks in Europe already operate with digital assets, up from two in early 2025. |
| 2026 | Tokenised stocks | They exceed two billion dollars in value, and more than half of their trading happens outside market hours. |
88% of financial institutions have committed budget to digital assets, but only 16% have reached production.
Why banks need to prepare now
- Clients already have alternativesBrokers and exchanges offer tokenised stocks to retail clients, at any hour and outside the bank.
- Infrastructure takes time to adaptIntegrating the core system, passing the security review and answering to the supervisor takes months. It has to be ready before demand arrives.
- Renting is not preparingA third-party service handles today’s buying and selling, but leaves the bank without its own capability once the markets its clients invest in move on-chain.
What remains open is how banks’ retail clients reach those markets. That is where we work.

How we work
We deploy the infrastructure inside the bank with our own senior engineering team, adapt it to its architecture, its regulation and its operating model, and keep operating and evolving it over the long term. The bank keeps the client, the brand, the data, the keys and control.
| Phase | Our team | The bank’s team |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · We understand the bank | We analyse the core system, the applicable regulation and the way the institution operates. | Technology, risk, compliance and retail business share architecture, processes and priorities. |
| 2 · We adapt our own core | We fit our modular core to the bank’s architecture and operating model. | Validates the integrations with the core system, compliance, and data for accounting and regulatory reporting. |
| 3 · We deploy inside the bank | We install the infrastructure at the institution: in its systems and on its HSMs, physical or in its cloud. | Keeps the keys, the data and operational control, with its brand and its app in front of the client. |
| 4 · We operate and evolve | We operate the infrastructure over the long term and evolve it with regulation and the market. | Keeps the client, the product, the margin and the relationship. Decides what launches and when. |
Security and control
- KeysClient keys are held in the bank’s own hardware security modules (HSMs), physical or deployed in its cloud, never in an external provider’s.
- CustodyThe bank does not add a third-party custodian to the chain of its clients’ assets.
- BusinessThe product, the margin and the client relationship remain the bank’s.
Our mission
We build the infrastructure that allows banks to participate in the next generation of blockchain-based financial markets.

Frequently asked questions
- What is Finhattan?A forward deployed engineering firm that deploys, inside each bank and financial institution, the infrastructure its retail clients need to invest in digital assets and tokenised stocks, hold them in custody and make transfers via regulated stablecoins, from the institution's own app and under its brand.
- How is it different from a SaaS provider or an exchange? The infrastructure runs within the bank's perimeter and under its control, with keys held in its own HSMs and data that never leaves its systems. The bank doesn't rent a third-party service: it operates the capability as its own and keeps the client, the brand and the licences.
- Does the bank need a new licence?Finhattan is a technology provider; licences and the client relationship stay with the institution. In the European Union, a credit institution can provide crypto-asset services by notifying its competent authority under Article 60 of MiCA, and tokenised stocks fall under MiFID II.
- What does the client experience include?A modular solution, already built and tested, that integrates into the bank's app with its brand and design: trading, a portfolio view with multi-asset charts showing every buy and sell point, custody, transfers, market information, AI-powered analysis, a risk-free investment simulator, a social layer, chats, and content such as news, video and podcasts. Each institution chooses which modules to activate.
- How does it integrate with core banking?Through adapters to the core system and the accounting ledger: every transaction is recorded with the data the institution needs for its accounting entries, position reconciliation and tax and regulatory reporting. The custody model adapts to each institution, omnibus or individual.
- How do you start working with Finhattan?By first understanding the bank's needs and designing the solution with it. The institution then chooses between a PoC on our environment or a pilot on its own infrastructure. Our senior engineering team works alongside the institution's own, supports the deployment through to production and keeps operating and evolving it over the long term.
